Process of
Counselling: -
For admission to its numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programs in
statistics, mathematics, computer science, and other related subjects, the
Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) administers the ISI Admission Test (ISI AT),
a national level entrance test.
Usually, the ISI admissions counselling procedure starts after the ISI
AT results are announced. According to their placement on the merit list, those
who passed the exam are contacted for counselling.
The candidates must show up in person at the specified counselling
centre at the beginning of the counselling process. The needed documentation, including
original copies of identity cards, certificates, and mark sheets, must be
carried by candidates.
Candidates must fill out a counselling form at the counselling centre,
listing their preferred course and campus as well as their preferences. They are
given places in the appropriate courses and campuses based on the number of
seats available and the candidate's ranking.
The candidates who receive seats are required to pay the admission fee
and provide the required documentation for inspection. If an applicant fails to
show up for counselling, their application is cancelled, and the next candidate
on the merit list is given the seat.
The candidates must report to their respective campuses to complete the admissions procedure and start their academic session when the counselling process is over.
It is significant to note that the counselling procedure may differ
significantly from year to year. Candidates are recommended to stay informed by
frequently visiting the ISI official website.
