Process of
Counselling: -
For admission to several undergraduate programs in the state of
Karnataka, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) administers the KCET
(Karnataka Common Entrance Test).
The counselling procedure starts when the KCET results are released. The
following are the steps that make up the KCET counselling procedure, which is
done in an online setting.
·
Step
1: Registration
Registration is the initial stage of the
counselling process. Applicants must register for the counselling process by
going to the KEA's official website. They will need to supply their KCET roll
number as well as additional information like their name, email address, phone
number, etc.
·
Step 2:
Document Verification
Candidates must upload their documents for
verification after registering. These are some of the papers that must be
uploaded:
o
KCET
admit card
o
Class 10
and 12 mark sheets
o
KCET
scorecard
o
Certificate
of category (if applicable)
o
Income
statement (if applicable)
o
Certificate
of domicile (if applicable)
·
Step 3:
Option Entry
Candidates can register their choices for
colleges and courses after the document verification procedure is finished.
Students must sign into their accounts and choose the universities and courses
according to their preferences.
·
Step 4:
Seat Allotment
The seat allocation procedure will be carried
out by the KEA based on the choices made by the applicants. According to their
rank, category, and the availability of seats, candidates will be assigned
seats.
·
Step 5:
Fee Payment
To confirm their entrance, candidates who are
given seats must pay the admission fee online. The fee may be paid by debit
card, credit card, or net banking.
·
Step 6:
Reporting to the Allotted College
Candidates must report to the designated college within the stipulated timeframe after paying fees. They must have the necessary documentation with them for admittance and verification.
Finally, the KCET counselling procedure is a well-organized and
methodical procedure that guarantees fairness and transparency in the
admissions process. To ensure a simple and hassle-free admissions process,
candidates should carefully follow the above instructions.
