Process of
Counselling: -
For entry into its undergraduate and graduate design programs, the
National Institute of Design (NID) administers the NID DAT (Design Aptitude
Test). The institute conducts the counselling procedure for the shortlisted
candidates following the release of the NID DAT results.
The following phases are commonly included in the NID DAT counselling
process:
·
Candidate
short listing: Based on the results of the NID DAT exam, the institute
publishes a merit list of candidates who have been selected.
·
Call for
counselling: Shortlisted candidates are given a call for counselling that
includes information about the counselling procedure and the paperwork needed
for verification.
·
Verification
of documents: For verification, candidates must present both their original
documents and photocopies. Mark sheets, degree certificates, category
certificates (if applicable), passport-size photos, and other papers are
needed.
·
Seat
allocation: Candidates are offered seats depending on their position on the
merit list, the number of seats available, and the programs they have indicated
they are interested in.
·
After
seats are assigned, candidates must pay the admission fee to secure their
admittance.
·
It is
crucial that the candidates be physically present during the counselling
process. If a candidate is unable to attend the counselling session, he or she
may designate a representative to do so as long as the required authorization
paperwork is turned in.
·
For the
most recent information and updates regarding the counselling process, it is
advised that candidates keep an eye on the NID's official website.
