Process of
Counselling: -
The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) in Jamshedpur administers the
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), a national-level management entrance test. XLRI
administers the XAT counselling procedure, which is normally carried out
following the release of the exam results.
The steps in the XAT counselling procedure are as follows:
·
XAT
Results Announcement: The second week of January is typically when the XAT
results are announced. Shortlisted candidates for the counselling procedure are
those who passed the exam.
·
Candidates
are invited to the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds
after being shortlisted for these rounds. On its official website, XLRI posts a
list of the candidates who have been shortlisted.
·
GD/PI
rounds: Various locations across the nation host GD/PI rounds. Candidates must
show up for the GD/PI rounds at the centre they selected when submitting their
applications.
·
Final
selection: Based on the candidate's performance in the XAT exam, the GD/PI
rounds, and additional variables like work experience, academic background,
etc., XLRI issues a final merit list. Admission to XLRI and other participating
institutes is awarded to those who make the final merit list.
·
Verification
of documentation and payment of the admission fee: Candidates who are granted
admission must submit the requisite paperwork for review and pay the admission
fee to finalize their acceptance.
·
Waitlist:
If any seats remain open following the admissions process, XLRI also publishes
a waitlist of applicants who are awarded admission.
·
The XAT
counselling procedure is, all things considered, a thorough and demanding
process that makes sure the best applicants are chosen for admission to XLRI
and other participating institutes.
